Breaking (Original Canvas)

'Breaking' was inspired by the intense power of the ocean. The piece was driven by the idea that nature cannot be underestimated. It can be fierce, noisy and rough. However, in the right conditions' waves are calming, strong and clear. Breaking was a therapeutic piece to paint. I put pressure on myself to make it ‘perfect’, but through painting it, I reflected that nothing can be perfect and learnt to let go.
